Mount Washington Hotel @ Bretton Woods NH April 2009

This was truly a great Taps event. Not only were there some amazing lectures, but we were given access to investigate this beautiful historic hotel for two nights!

The Mount Washington Hotel was built in 1902 by railway tycoon, Joseph Stickney. It is said to be haunted by the ghost of his widow, Carolyn. She later married Prince Lucinge of France, and remained the owner of the estate until her death in 1934. The room she always slept in is commonly referred to as "The Princess Room". Much of the furniture in the room actually belonged to her. There have been many amazing evp's captured in this room over the years.

We believe we caught a disembodied voice in response to one of our questions. The interesting thing is that only the person sitting on her actual bed heard it. We had been sitting just a couple of feet away. Fortunately, our recorder picked it up. We did not capture any other hard evidence over the course of our investigation. We had some odd feelings and personal experiences, but nothing that could be documented.
